2001 Food Expo Held in Osaka!
For 10 days from April 27 through May 6, the .Food Expo,. a festival of
food held once every 4 years, was held at Nanko Index Osaka.
In the booth of Kansai Electric Power Company, our instructors demonstrated
the cooking of French, Chinese, Thai, Egyptian and Russian court dishes
that were arranged into a contemporary style. For those who could not attend
the festival, we will introduce some of those dishes from each country
in our .Chef.s Recipes. section over the next five weeks.

●Tom Yam Kung
Because it is very hot in Thailand, the foods people eat there are pretty spicy and each dish has a distinct flavor, such as Sweet,.. Hot...or Sour... Tom Yam Kung is a soup with shrimp, uniquely seasoned with red pepper and nam pla (fish sauce), with an added twist of the refreshing aroma of lemon grass.Tom Yam Kung is considered one of the three most delicious soups in the world, and is a dish that represents Thai cuisine.

●Mee Clobe
Mee is rice noodles. Crispy fried rice noodles are served with sweet and
sour sauce with shrimp, pork and vegetables. One of the differences between
home cooking and palace cuisine is the amount of time and labor required
to prepare each dish. Mee Clobe used to be a typical dish of palace cuisine.
