Stewed Sardines with Ginger Sauce

Ingredient

1 Remove the scales, head and the entrails from the sardines, rinse and remove excess water. Thinly slice half the ginger and cut the other half into needle-thin sticks.
2 Combine the seasonings in a pan and bring to a boil. Add the sliced ginger and sardines. Cover with a lid slightly smaller than the pan and simmer.
3 Serve the sardines on a dish, pour some sauce over them and heap ginger sticks on top.
