Ginger Beef Fries

lean beef round (thinly sliced)
aojiso (beefsteak plant)
carrot
celery
daikon (Japanese radish)

soy sauce
grated ginger

Combine sake, soy sauce and juice squeezed from the grated
ginger in a bowl. |

Marinate the beef in the sauce prepared in 1. |

Shred the aojiso. |

Cut the carrot, celery and daikon into very thin sticks, and
soak in water. |

Remove excess sauce from each slice of beef, spread flat in a
Teflon frying pan and cook briefly. |

After the beef is done, stir in the remaining sauce. Add the
aojiso, stir once and remove from heat. |

Remove excess water from the vegetables and spread on a
dish. Serve the beef over the vegetables. |
