1 Peel yam, rinse to remove stickiness and boil gently.
2 Strain while hot. Put it in a pot, add sugar and mirin and stir over small flame, mixing.
3 Add red food color which is disolved in a little water in half of yam to color pink.
4 Strain the white yam and the pink yam with a strainer with large holes. Decorate it in foil cups with bamboo sticks.
