Cut the salmon into pieces and season with salt and sake. |

Thinly slice the Welsh onion on a slant. Briefly boil the pea pods till their color turns bright green, and cut on a slant into thin strips. |

Combine the seasonings, kombu and the Welsh onion. |

Place the salmon on a dish, and pour the sauce prepared in 3 over it. Steam the salmon over high heat. Garnish with the pea pod strips. |
