| Soybeans (dry) Water to soak soybeans Kombu seaweed Carrot Konjak (devil tongue) Lotus root (Seasonings) Soy sauce Mirin Sugar Salt |
50g (1/3 cup) 4g 20g 60g (1/4 pack) 30g 2 2/3 teaspoons 1 1/3 tablespoons 1 1/3 tablespoons 1 pinch |

| P | Rinse the soybeans under running water. Soak them in plenty of water the night before cooking to steep them. |

| Q | Boil the konjak and cut into small cubes. Dice the kombu, carrot and lotus root. Soak the lotus root in water. |
| R | Place the soybeans and (2) in a pressure cooker. Add just enough of the water used to soak the soybeans to immerse the ingredients. Add all the seasonings. Cover the pressure cooker and cook over high heat until the contents boil. |
| S | Reduce the heat and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, but do not remove the steam. Let it stand for 5 minutes, and mix. |
