Sardines
Salt
Pepper
Flour

Green peppers
Daikon (Japanese radish)
Green onion

Procedure

‚P Remove the heads and entrails from the sardines. Open each sardine with your hands and remove the backbone. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper and let them stand for a while. Dry the sardines.
‚Q Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small pan.
‚R Cut the green onion into thin rings. Grate the ginger root and daikon, separately.
‚S Coat each fish with flour and pat them to remove the excess flour. Heat the sauce. At the same time, deep-fry the green peppers and sardines. When they are done, soak them in the sauce.
‚T Dish up the green peppers and sardines. Top with the grated ginger and daikon. Pour the sauce over them and sprinkle with the green onion.
