Simple Sukiyaki (Beef Teriyaki)


Beef becomes tough if fried or cooked for a long time.

Ingredients
Serves 4
beef round sliced 250g
onion 1/2
devil's tongue noodles 100g
field peas 40g
Sauce sake
2 tablespoons
soy sauce 3 tablespoons
mirin 2 tablespoons
sugar 2 tablespoons
sesame oil 1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil -

Preparation
‚PLightly pound the beef using a meat mallet.
‚Q Slice the onion thinly.
‚R Boil the devil's tongue noodles briefly and then, rinse with cold water. Drain and cut into easy-to-eat lengths.
‚SRemove the strings from the field peas and cook in boiling water with salt. Dry and cut each pod in half on a slant.

Procedure
‚P Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry both sides of the beef briefly and remove.
‚Q Reheat the pan, add some oil and cook the onion until tender. Add the devil's tongue and continue cooking.
‚RAdd the beef cooked in 1 and the field peas, and then the sauce. Continue cooking while stirring until the dish looks glossy. Lastly, add the sesame oil.
Serving
Serve in individual dishes.
