Smashed Chinese Yam


The ingredients in this recipe are all known for their stickiness.

Ingredients
Chinese yam 50g
Fermented soy beans 1/4 pack
Okra 1
Horse radish paste 1/4 teaspoon

Preparation
下ごしらえ Remove the skin, rather thickly, from the yam, and wrap it in a wet dishcloth. Smash up the yam using a rolling pin. Lightly cut up the fermented soy beans with a knife.
Rub the surface of the okra with salt, dip it in boiling water and cut crosswise into small pieces.

Procedure
In a bowl, dissolve the horse radish paste in a teaspoon of sake. Add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce and mix well.
Add the yam, soy beans and okra to 1, and lightly mix all the ingredients together.
Serving
 Place 2 in a serving dish, and top with nori broken into small pieces.
