1Place the taro in a pan with cold water, bring to a boil and cook the taro until tender. Remove the skin.
2String the beans and cook them briefly in boiling water. Soak them in cold water, drain and cut in half.
3Skin the carrot and cut into chunky pieces. Place them in a pan with cold water, bring to a boil and cook until tender.
4Boil the stock in a pan and season with the sugar, soy sauce and salt. Add the taro and carrot and simmer for a while. Add the green beans and cook briefly.
5Place the ingredients in a serving dish in a decorative manner.
